The institute will give participants:

• Plans for effective classroom management and organization
• Diversity awareness in perspective
• Assessment tools
• Program materials (including text on classroom activities and a CD-ROM demonstrating examples of effective teaching);
• Exposure to a range of reading curricula
• Practice in coaching techniques
• In-depth understanding of effective approaches for instruction in reading and writing.

Pre-certification as a CREDE coach may also be arranged.
